For 2026 applications, evidence that consistently performs well includes maintained open-source projects with non-trivial adoption, conference talks at recognised events, recommendation letters from senior engineers at well-known companies, and evidence of product impact — revenue, users, or technical scale you personally drove.
Once endorsed, applicants can apply for a five-year visa, work for any employer (or themselves), and access a fast-track to Indefinite Leave to Remain after three years on the exceptional-talent track.
